IAAO BC Committees
Call for Committee Members
Interested in helping our BC Chapter and getting some experience on the work of our Executive Board? We are continuously looking for help with our 2025+ yearly and long term initiatives.
Your executive is recruiting members for the committees and task forces that will guide our focused efforts over the coming year and beyond. The following brief descriptions provide a very high level view of what each group does. We`d like to encourage all members to take an active role in one or more of these groups. We know that`s not always possible for everyone but the degree of active involvement at this level determines the success of our Chapter.
We are looking for contributions of all types and want to match your skills and/or interests with the right mission. You may provide a certain technical perspective, perhaps you are most interested in education, event planning, providing leadership and coordination, technical standards or graphic design. Or maybe you just want to get more involved to see where your interest grows. Either way, now is the time. We need your talent and enthusiasm… and some of your time.
Membership Committee:
* to grow Chapter membership; including through events, marketing, and communication that add value for members
* works hand in hand with all other committees to help achieve goals of increasing membership
Professional Development Committee:
* to support the mission and commitments of the Chapter by developing, coordinating, maintaining, and guiding the educational program of IAAOBC
* to develop and communicate criteria and process that supports members in achieving IAAO professional designations
*host lunch-and-learn sessions and/or webinars
To put your name forward for any of these committees or have further questions please send an email to membership@iaaobc.com indicating which of the Committees you are interested in and any additional information you`d like to provide.
Note: Ad hoc task forces may be formed throughout the year consisting of some or all members of various committees. The most common reason for this is to plan and deliver chapter events.
